Next Industries was incorporated in 1992 after securing an agency agreement with a North American export group for the distribution of electronics, toys and other general merchandise in the Australian market.

In 2002, the company implemented an asset brand program and review of possible product entry points into the Australian market.

In January 2003 the company launched a range of calculators into the Australian market under the Next brand.

Next Industries is a wholly Australian owned privately company.
